As the term implies there are multiple security zones that a person must pass security checks at before passing through. These can include an external barrier and fencing to prevent access to car park, to outer door security guards and inner door bio-metric-type security readers.
Door Entry Sensors
Door entry sensor kits consist of two contacts to install on a door and doorframe which are then connected to an environmental monitoring system. If a door is opened or closed, the contacts trigger an automatic alarm notification, sent using email, SMS text or SNMP, dependent on the base monitoring device connected to the sensor. The monitoring base units can be connected to the local internet using an IP network connection (Ethernet cable or WiFi) or installed with a GSM SIM card to allow remote access, reporting and alarm sending. Click on any of the sensors below to see more information and the related devices they can be connected to for montoring and alarms.
Monitoring door entry into critical areas including server rooms, data centres, mobile facilities and outdoor cabinets provides an additional level of security to an installation. Entry triggered alarms can indicate the need for further investigation include viewing the area using an IP camera. To monitor server cabinet entry, RFID door handles be used with a cabinet and connected to a monitoring device.
