Avtech Digital Fluid Temperature Sensors provide real-time temperature values from minus 55 to 125degC when used with any Room Alert environment monitoring device. Accuracy is within +/- 2degC. The sensor is a specially sealed tube containing Propylene Glycol that makes it an ideal sensor for monitoring refrigerated items and tracking their temperature instead of the surrounding air temperature.
Propylene Glycol is a colourless liquid with extremely low freezing and high boiling points. The non-conductive nature of the liquid, makes it a perfect sensor for monitoring fluid temperatures in extreme environments such as laboratories that monitor vaccines, plasma, IV bags and/or other specimens, aquariums, refrigeration devices or other locations where fluid temperature must be monitored and/or regulated.
