Perseus Monitoring 145 is a mid-range solution for remote monitoring sites over a LAN. The device connects to external sensors (monitoring up to 1000 variables), connected via 4x RJJ ports (run 1W-UNI bus) or 1x RS-485 (Modbus/RTU) port, with multiple digital inputs (DI) and digital outputs (DO) and a WLD (water leakage detection) Port. Automatic notifications can be sent via Email or SNMP Trap alerts from the Perseus device. The Perseus Monitoring 145 unit has a built-in LTE modem that serves as an SMS gateway for Perseus itself as well as other connected HW group devices and provides backup connectivity should there be a local Ethernet outage.
Local conditions and the data can be analysed using a calendar and periodic scheduler and LUA scripting. Perseus 145 can also combine data from external physical sensors and detectors with data from other HWg devices connected on the same LAN. A unique feature of Perseus is the Meters API allowing Perseus to read over a LAN, sensor values from other compatible devices (such as an STE2 R2) and use this data for analysis or alert notifications. Measured values are available via for analysis via an Open API (XML, Modbus/TCP, MQTT).
Perseus Monitoring 145 can be connected to remote monitoring portals (SensDesk and HWg Cloud). The portals offer graphs, email notification list setup, locations, SNMP and device invalid (not connected) alerts.

Monitoring Portals and Mobile App
HW Group provide two portal options.
The free HWg Cloud monitoring portal features:
- Automatic email alerts can be sent when an alarm condition occurs
- Device Invalid (disconnected) alert is available to provide a heartbeat/watchdog function

The SensDesk Technology portal (SaaS or On-Premise) has an annual license and provides more extensive features including:

Perseus 145 can also be monitored using HWg Monitor, a mobile phone App available for Android and iOS mobiles and tablets.
