Perseus Energy 240 is a LAN gateway for connecting HW Group and third-party RS-485 Modbus/RTU sensors to an existing remote monitoring site including HWg Cloud and Sensdesk and third-party portals. Perseus Energy 240 can also be used as a Modbus/RTU to Modbus/TCP gateway (RTU to TCP gateway) or as a Modbus/RTU to MQTT or SNMP converter.
Perseus Energy 240 supports up to 100 meters with 1000 variables, connected via RS-485 (Modbus/RTU). Perseus 240 can read values from other network devices via generic SNMP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT and XML (for HWg devices) and analyse metered data from RTU / LAN devices with using local alarms, conditions and actions, and LUA scripts executed in the Perseus device. Perseus Energy 240 is a gateway device and only has an RS-485 interface. There are no RJ11 ports and no DI (Digital Inputs).
Perseus Energy 240 can analyse and send the data to any of the SensDesk Technology-based Portal. Third-party sensors can be connected via RS-485 (Modbus/RTU) or as LAN devices via the Meters API (SNMP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT).
Using the RS-485 (Modbus/RTU) for data input (Meters API) and Modbus/TCP as outputs (Open API), the Perseus Energy 240 can be used as a gateway from physical Modbus/RTU (RS-485) to Modbus/TCP (LAN). Measured data can be analysed, connected to the Portal and used in any third party SCADA or SNMP based NMS system.
Perseus Energy 240 combines data from external physical sensors and detectors connected via Modbus/RTU with data from other HWg devices connected via a LAN. Local conditions, Lua scripting, calendar or periodic scheduler help to analyse the measured data.
Notifications can be sent from the device as standalone alerts (email) or analysed & alerted from the Portal (SensDesk Technology) with Graphs, Virtual sensors, Device Invalid alerts, PDF reports or Portal account Open API (SNMP / XML). Perseus device can also individually share all measured values via the Open API (SNMP, MQTT, Modbus/TCP, XML, and more.)
