Perseus Energy 285 is a DIN rail LAN and LTE data aquisition solution for the remote energy monitoring and control of applications via M-Bus Master. Perseus Energy 285 can connect to physical external sensors (for °C, %RH, A, V, …), Detectors (relays and dry contacts) or the HW Group WLD (Water Leak Detection) sensing cable. Third party meters (sensors) can also be connected via LAN or the Modbus/RTU protocol. LTE backup connectivity allows the Perseus Energy device to stay operational even during an Ethernet outage.

Perseus Energy 285 combines data from external physical sensors, detectors ane meters with data from other HWg devices connected over a LAN. Local conditions, Lua scripting, calendar or periodic scheduler can be used to analyse the measured data. SMS, Call, Email or SNMP Trap alerts can be sent from the Perseus device. Measured values are available via Open API (XML, Modbus/TCP, MQTT). Perseus Energy 285 can be connected to the Portal (SensDesk Technology) to provide a powerful solution for professional applications.

A unique feature of all Perseus products is the Meters API which means that Perseus can read over LAN sensor values from other devices (e.g. STE2 R2) and use this data for analysis or alerting. The Perseus Energy 285 unit has a built-in LTE modem that serves as an SMS gateway for Perseus itself as well as other connected HW group devices, and also provides back up connectivity to the Portal.
