The Wireless Temperature Sensor is a sensor with a built-in calibration check and features two NIST traceable, calibrated temperature sensors in a single stainless steel tube. Working as a pair they check each of the sensor values once a second for accuracy. If the sensor measurements go out of acceptable tolerance, an alert is sent warning that the sensor requires re-calibration.
The use of wireless technology reduces installation and cable costs when the distance is far from the environmental monitoring base unit. The wireless temperature sensor is easy to install and pair with the AKCP Wireless Tunnel Gateway.
Wireless Temperature Sensor Features
- 4 AA Batteries with a 10-year design at 25°C broadcasting every 15 minutes
- USB 5Vdc or 12Vdc power supply
- IP66 rated enclosure
- LED indicators for power, status and RSSI
- Custom sensor cable length up to 4.5m (15ft) to position the sensor in the best location
- Optional DIN rail, wall and pipe mounting accessories
- NIST2 dual sensor calibration integrity check
- Optional NIST3 triple sensor calibration integrity check with failover
NIST3 sensors have three NIST traceable, calibrated temperature sensors in a single stainless steel tube. Other options include:
- WTS-NISTx-G: NIST2 or NIST3 calibrated temperature sensor with a glycol jar attachment (glycol not included). Used as a buffer against temperature fluctuations in the pharmaceutical industry when medical refrigerators are opened and closed
- WTS-NISTx-G3: NIST2 or NIST3 calibrated temperature sensor on a 1m (3ft) cable with a glycol jar attachment (glycol not included). Used as a buffer against temperature fluctuations in the pharmaceutical industry when medical refrigerators are opened and closed
- WTS-NISTx-DC: NIST2 or NIST3 calibrated temperature sensor with a door contact to monitor temperature with calibration integrity checker and security sensor and check that doors, cabinets or medical refrigerators are closed
Monitoring Applications
