The I/O Controller 2 connects an RS232/485 with a set of eight digital inputs and outputs to an Ethernet local area network. The built-in 9-pin serial port can be connected to a PC over a LAN, with the serial port accessible in Windows as a Virtual Serial Port (VSP). Its digital inputs and outputs can be controlled over the Web or through Modbus/TCP. The device has a built-in web server for configuration and the HW VSP3 software application can connect to 100 remote serial ports to a single PC. Two I/O Controller 2 devices can be connected in a Box-2-Box mode to extend the capabilities.
