Spider Connectors

Spider Connectors can connect upto 4 dry contacts or 1-Wire bus RJ11 sensors to a Poseidon2 4002 via RS-485 (RJ45) bus. Several Spider units can be connected to the RS-485 bus and the deivce is suitable for applications with complex cabling in server rooms, data centres and industrial buildings.

Spider Features:

• Connects up to 4 dry contacts or RJ11 sensors to a RS-485 bus
• 2x RJ45 connectors for connecting the RS-485 bus with daisy-chaining
• Power over a RS-485 bus from a Poseidon 4002 or from external power supply (barrel connector for external 12Vdc adapter)
• DIP switch for setting the address on a RS-485 bus (sensor ID)
• Signalisation of the sensor value being read / dry contact switched
• Reacts to extremely short dry contact pulses (30 ms)

• Increasing the number of inputs for dry contact conntections with a Poseidon2 4002
• Gathering values from 19inch racks and RS-485 bus runs along a wall
• Temperature monitoring in supermarket freezers with RS-485 bus runs along the wall behind the freezers
