FAQs - Rack LCD Consoles

LCD consoles are used to monitor IT servers and networked computers. KVM can be used to both monitor and control serial and networked connected devices. LCD consoles can access networked device system consoles in order to monitor and control their functionality.

LCD consoles include a keyboard, mouse, and LCD screen. They are sometimes referred to as LCD console drawers as the devices are compact, designed for 19inch rack mount installation in a server cabinet with a typical height of 1U. The console slides in and out and the screen tilts (manually or automatically) on opening for viewing information.
