What is a Data Centre POD?

A Data Centre POD is a ‘Performance Optimised Datacentre’ where the server racks are in a secure enclosure with containment for a cold-aisle and hot-aisle(s). The data centre POD provides a controlled and managed environment in terms of cooling (temperature and humidity), fire suppression and power protection in the form of rack mount or floor standing mono-block or modular UPS systems.
