Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Policy
Dated: Aug 2023
Server Room Environments Ltd are mindful of the need to continue normal operations as quickly as possible should the Company suffer from a serious incident.
Server Room Environments has developed a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plan (BCDRP), which is fully integrated into our management system.
In the event of a serious incident, the BCDRP is aimed at enabling the Company to resume its normal operations as quickly as possible, with the minimum of disruption, cost and damage to reputation.
The BCDRP was developed in conjunction with our HSEQ Consultant representing all functional areas of the Company. Having identified the critical functions and greatest risks to the business, the BCDRP provides a detailed, prioritised and timetabled response to deal with emergency situations, including key roles and responsibilities.
To ensure that the BCDRP stays current and up-to-date, training, testing and reviews form an essential part of the Company’s business continuity management system. BCDRP implications are also considered and updated at all stages of the development process of new projects.
In the event of the Company needing to operate from alternative facilities, either portacabins would be installed outside at the Company’s current premises or staff will be able to work from other locations using cloud-based IT systems to access e-mails and important documentation. All the necessary supporting infrastructure will be installed without undue delay.
This policy is reviewed annually by the directors and management team or sooner if appropriate.
For other policies see our Integrated Management System page.
