Avtech Power Sensors provide real-time status information for a power source change of status (ON/OFF) and can be used to monitor mains power supplies, uninterruptible power supplies and standby power generators.

Power Sensors are installed to notify when a power source fails and when a backup power supply is operational and when the power supply returns to a normal state. The Power Sensor uses a power adaptor which should be powered from a UPS system. The device is a ‘Plug and Play’ sensor via one of the switch-sensor channels on the back of a compatible Room Alert environment monitor. The cable distance can be extended from the standard 7.5m to over 270m using standard speaker-wire, twisted-pair or any reliable low voltage 2-wire cable.
